    1.     German Gustav Becker Unusual Burl Walnut Westminster Chime Wall Clock, Circa  1925

    7" silvered & painted dial, 8-day, brass Westminster chime movement, beautiful & collectible ormolu mounted burl walnut case inlaid with rosewood, basswood & mother of pearl with oval beveled glass glazed door, very well made clock using the finest of materials, G. Becker was one of the top German clockmakers of the late 19th & early 20th centuries & was eventually absorbed into the Junghans Clock Co., overall  great condition, minor wear on dial near 10 o'clock.

    2.     German Gustav Becker Unusual Ratchet Wind Vienna Regulator Clock, Circa 1880

    8" printed paper dial with enamel center & seconds bit, 8-day, unusual brass movement, very rare two weight solid plate mechanism with extremely unusual pull cord ratchet winders, lovely mixed wood case has book matched veneers & original carved top, normally clocks of this type wind with a crank, this type of winding system was probably made so the clock can be high on a wall & wound without a ladder, an advanced collectors clock, excellent condition, recently serviced.

    7 1/2" painted zinc dial refitted from old parts from another clock, 8-day, brass weight driven movement, early 19th century mahogany "patent timepiece" made by a Willard family contemporary, 1/2 round molding with glazed panels, even with its hurts it still is a beautiful & well made timepiece that compares favorably to Massachusetts' south shore timepieces, as outlined in chapter ten of Paul Foley's 2002 book "Willard's Patent Time Pieces" (available at www.roxburyvillagepublishing.com), minor case with wear, reverse painted tablets are Victorian replacements, movement complete and running.
